Mzuzu Fashion Week (MzFW) was established by Kwanza PR and Zik Garvey Investments (ZJMN) in 2015. Inspired by the variety of fashion related events taking place in the ‘Green City of Mzuzu’, MzFW is fast becoming the premier must-attend fashion week for designers, models and other fashion-industry professionals from Mzuzu, the Northern Region as well as nationally to showcase their work and encourage the growth of the fashion industry in Malawi. MzFW is also helping to influence the use and widespread acceptance of products from the textile industry in Malawi in high end fashion and design. MzFW has since 2015 presented a platform to the world for 2 designers, models, artisans, specialists and entrepreneurs as well as a growing audience at its events. A record of 300 people visited MzFW 2016 with a substantial multiple interacting with the event online or via our various media partners. In addition to giving designers a platform on which to promote their brands, MzFW aims to contribute to the growth of the Malawian economy by creating and building sustainable development through creative ideas which lead to job creation.
